An interesting quote....

An interesting quote I overheard on BBC:

"The Stone Age did not end because we run out of stones, but because there were better options."

The idea here is that we need to have the courage to embrace new options instead of always sticking with the comfort of existing options -- if we want to march towards progress. Currently, there are some groups of people who prefer sticking to coal, esp when there are still abundant supplies of it -- and hence, cheaper. The lesson point here is that we should not wait until we run our of oil/coal before we start looking for or using better options, such as those provided by green technology. Progress requires us to avail ourselves to better options even as existing options still apply.
