For those whom we are doing speech now, this is an example of formal speech...it's a bit unlike the semi-formal speech that is more prevalent in ur syllabus. Notice it has few or no informal language features at all. But if the Qn wants you to write ur speech in a "lively and engaging" manner, you should introduce some informal features as it will be a semi-formal speech....
