Note also how our govt banned foreign companies from sponsoring the PinkDot Campaign this year...and how foreigners must apply for a licence if they want to air their views at the Speaker's Corner, unlike Singaporeans...and how political parties here cannot accept foreign donations or funding, esp during election campaigning....Call it unhidden political agenda if we want; the govt's rationale is that these are calculated to prevent foreign influences from interfering with domestic politics...Govt's stance is that only Singaporean's can have a say in how Singapore is run....
